The 588 Orca hull is a medium duty design for outboard propulsion and ins trailer able with a beam of 2.5 m and self bailing deck. This design has many different versions for different propulsion (waterjet and also Z-drive) and is very adaptable for extras like a small walk around cabin or even a full beam cabin.

The hull shape is designed for engine capacities up till 250 HO, capable of speeds up till 60 km/hr and more comfortable cruising speeds of 40 km.hr, subject to loads and operational conditions. The design complies with CE- category C based on 6 persons.

The hull has excellent stability and handling characteristics even at high speeds and the “Spray-rails” in the outer hull provide additional hull strength and a sportive look. The robust construction is a combination of longitudinal and transverse members and includes the Delta-Skipad, Specmar’s trademark for enhanced planning performance and stability, with good fuel economy and speed with limited horsepower.

The scantlings have been modified by Bruce Roberts Europe BV to comply with the European codes and rules, as well as production standards. The Bruce Roberts European pre-cut building kit consists of extremely accurate cut parts from first class marine grade aluminum, including precision markings, the pre-forming of all parts and all profiles needed to complete the construction.
